Q: Is oral sex sex is islam? (email)
Answers: وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

Zina and fellatio are separate matters.

They both are forbidden for non-married couples.

In the context of religion, fellatio is sexual in nature. Sex has many gradations. We must abstain from doing things that would lower our values and spiritual satisfaction under general conditions. For a non-married person to touch a woman/man would be forbidden as viewed in the context of your query.

Allah Certainly Knows Best.

  1. Although the legal definition of Zina would not apply, but that does not mean the individual cannot be called a Zani (fornicator) by linguistic standards approved by islam. And would this become public he/she would not be married to a chaste individual.
please refer to tafseer of surah Maida verse 5 and you will realize that having oral, anal, making out is not considered virginity even if for a female her Hymen is intact.

So wake up and smell the darn coffee!

  2. Sex is sex, no matter where you put it. Now a days, we also have to worry about STD’s, would you want to give a disease to your spouse? It may not come up right away, but if you are telling your potential suitor that you are a virgin, then how will you explain the disease once you are married and you are only having marital sex with your lifetime partner? I can speak from experience, as my ex-spouse gave me STD’s and mislead me to beleive I was the only one. No matter what faith you are, have some common sense and abstain.
